Visit Rock Cut State Park!

Rock Cut State Park is a 3092-acre park located in Loves Park, IL with easy access from the Illinois Rte. 173 exit off Interstate 90. An outdoor oasis in the middle of the Stateline area, Rock Cut is the largest state park in Northern Illinois and offers hiking, biking, cross country skiing and snowshoe trails, a campground, and two lakes for fishing and paddling. The Lone Star Cafe next to the Outdoor Store offers quality made from scratch food and a variety of drink options. Make it a point to take in the best dining view in the Stateline Area.  

There is no charge to launch a boat or kayak on either lake. There is a no wake rule on Pierce Lake. Only boats with electric motors or carry in watercraft may be used on Olson Lake.  All watercraft must comply with State of Illinois watercraft rules and regulations.
